Stearyl Alcohol
Stearyl alcohol is a waxy alcohol mixture, it is soluble in ether, ethanol and almost insoluble in water.
Fumei’s stearyl alcohol is a natural saturated fatty alcohol, which can be used in oral and external preparations as blockers and ointment matrix. Stearyl alcohol is added as a stiffening agent, emulsifier and thickener in pharmaceutical formulations. It is also utilized to enhance the water-holding capacity of ointments.
